Our Create Win-Win Interactions with Difficult People (9:00am - 10:30am)
Partnered, mutually winning interactions are easy when people get along. What happens when we come cross difficult, reactive patients, families, and co-workers? In this session, participants will develop awareness about their own emotions and conditioned tendencies, and how they contribute to the quality of their interactions. We will learn how to set the table for successful interactions with any audience, learn strategies and tools to manage our emotions before and during conflict, disarm reactive people (and interactions), and de-escalate a conflict to find solutions that include mutually winning outcomes. Our Relationship to Time: How to Efficiently Prioritize and Elevate our Relationship to Time to Avoid Burnout and Overwhelm (10:45am - 12:15pm) Prioritizing tasks, avoiding distraction and maximizing efficiency, and effectively delegating are keys to focused results. And, it’s an area where experienced and inexperienced employees often struggle. In this session, we’ll look at our relationship to time, pinpoint ways to identify our highest priorities, and share best practices and tips to avoid overwhelm, burn-out, and procrastination – the time and efficiency derailers.
